Not every fork is a good one and overpriced invoices for fork reconstruction does not guarantee that your revised fork will do what you want it to do. But at Wilbers, 20 years of experience guarantee a real fork tuning at a favourable price. Service and tuning – give us a try!

 

Fork reconstruction for Road

For the "normal" road driver who only wants his fork to sensibly respond to road rides, the road reconstruction for forks is recommended. The fork is then cleaned, its steering capacity is tested and the tolerances are optimized. We install Wilbers Suspension progressive fork springs with the adequate Wilbers fork oil in the recommended lot.

Fork reconstruction for race track

Who likes to ride the extreme has to be extremely well prepared! With just small but aimed changes to the fork one can achieve better lap results. Of course, the fork is subject to totally different forces and requirements in a racing situation than on the road. Therefore Wilbers offers a special fork reconstruction for exactly this situation. The fork is cleaned, its steering ability is checked and tolerances are optimized. Then Wilbers Suspension fork springs are installed and the fork is refilled with Wilbers fork oil optimally matching the motorcycle type. After that, our experts change the complete set-up by inserting new shaft seals and shims then the forks piston is accommodated.

Fork reconstruction: Racetrack Motocross / Supermoto

Different operations require different adjustments of the telescopic-fork. For example: In order to manage a lower centre of gravity for racing in the Supermoto class by decreasing the suspen-sion travel, one has to shorten the fork. Or, a reconstruction of the cartridge is necessary, in order to achieve better damping characteristics as well as damping adjustments in high-, middle-, or low-speed range. The professional racing driver, as well as the hobby-motorcyclist can profit from an adjustment of the forks functions and, if possible, a totally individual setting referring to the track and driver’s weight. It goes without saying that the riding proficiency is here playing an important role. Sport-forks are equipped with high-grade linear fork springs from Eibach or Wilbers and the desired set-up.

An adaptation of the fork with new pistons instead of adapting the original pistons costs an additional € 199,- per set, part-no.: 685-000-00.
